Dave and Sandy Douglas run Junk ‘n Stuff in Pensacola, Florida. They’ve been collecting for over 30 years but started their booth just 15 years ago. They specialize in everyday objects from the 40s, 50s, and 60s – kitchenware, depression glass, vintage linens. Dave has a nice selection of decoys and old tools – some of which he may have used to refinish the furniture they offer. Dave and Sandy are retired Navy and enjoy traveling and finding things on their travels which they then place in their booth. A lot comes from their personal collection. What really makes this shop special – and worth stopping by – is Dave and Sandy. It would be hard to find two nicer shop owners. They’re not always in, but if they are you’re in for a treat. The booth is located at 3802 W. Navy Blvd., Pensacola, Florida.
Back of the Wagon Antiques is a charming, 3-story shop in Laramie, Wyoming with an emphasis on Western heritage – ranching, rodeo, cowboy, cowgirl, farming, railroading, mining, Indian, pioneer, trapper, cavalry, etc. They have linens, dishes, glassware, tools, books, furniture, dolls, jewelry and all manner of collectible stuff. We bought a wagon wheel from them and carted it all the way back to California on the top of our car. The shop is located at 207 S. 2nd and if you stop by, look for Jeanetta Schmidt.
Located on the Plaza in Orange, California, Woody’s Antiques is home to vintage mahogany, Art Deco, antique rattan, wicker, Danish modern furniture, and chrome dinette sets. But it specializes in Heywood Wakefield pieces. Brett and his mother have run the shop since 1996 and graciously helped us when we were looking to sell some of our older items. Woody’s is located at 173 N. Glassell in Orange.
